Low FODMAP Tropical Smoothie

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS
125g pineapple, chopped into chunks & frozen • ½ small firm banana, frozen
½ passionfruit
1 tsp chia seeds
½ cup unsweetened almond milk (calcium-fortified)
½ tsp maple syrup (optional)
1 tsp shredded coconut ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
METHOD
1. Place pineapple, banana and passionfruit (pulp only) in a ziplock bag and place in the freezer until you need it. I usually prepare these in bulk and divide into multiple bags to store in the freezer.
2. When you are ready to whip up the smoothie, add the contents in the zip lock bag, coconut milk, chia seeds and maple syrup to the blender and blend at high speed until smooth. Add more almond milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
3. Viola! Pour into a glass or bottle, sprinkle shredded coconut and enjoy.
